Microgentics develop products that innovate microbiology and molecular diagnostic technologies for the pharmaceutical industry, kickstarting their mission to help humankind win the war against pathogens. This page details how we produced a bespoke staph microbe stress ball to go hand in hand with a direct mail campaign they were running in 2020.

STAPH IMAGES
The client only provided this product image as a guide, and as this was a fairly geometrically shaped design this wasn't a problem. Our team recommended dimensions, for optimal squeezability in a hand, and sent the files onto our factory to get started with the resin sculpting.
RESIN SCULPTURES
Our high skilled master sculptors used the product image to create a hand crafted resin sculpture of the stress microbe. The factory then photographed the sculpture (with micrometer dimensions) and these images were supplied to the client for approval.
PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLES
With the resin sculptures approved by the client, we then produced a handful of pre-production samples in the Pantone matched colour of PMS3584 along with fully printed ends. Photographs were sent to the client for approval before mass production commenced.
FINAL PRODUCT IMAGES
Upon approval of the pre-production sample images, we proceeded to make the mass production tooling. The factory then bulk manufactured the stress staph microbes in pantone matched colour and printed the ends as required. The items were then quality inspected before being packaged and delivered to the customer.

The stress balls have arrived and we are very pleased!
We required bespoke stress balls for a direct mail campaign, in the shape of a Staph Infection to go to scientists. Stressballs UK were easy to deal with from the start, quick to respond to queries and patient with us when things were delayed our end.
The production was faster than anticipated, Stressballs UK providing us with regular updates so we knew how it was going, and delivery also swift.
The stressballs are perfect – great shape, colour and size. I have high hopes for the DM!
